1:24th scale slotcars are the largest slotcars most commonly raced and produced slotcar.

Split into 2 catagories (Scale and wing/flexi), "Scale" 1:24th cars are exactly that......... a scaled down model of real-life race cars. Back in the glory days of slotcar racing there was only one 1:24th scale slotcar. Some cars, tracks and motors began to be developed to the absoloute "N"th degree with just one thing in mind.........SPEED! In the pursuit of speed some cars were designed wider, shorter, with smaller out-of-scale wheels and popular body shapes began to look totally unrepresentative of anything race in 1:1 scale.

Hence, there became a clear divide.

"Scale" 1:24th scale slotcars are more popular mainly because of aesthetic and cost reasons.
